Short: A program that BEEPs the "QL Fight Song" Version: 1.05 Author: Mark J Swift (program) Al Boehm (song) Uploader: msw@blackpool.ac.uk Type: sound/beep This program plays the "QL Fight Song" by Al Boehm as printed in Quanta Magazine - August 1999. I know very little about reading music, so if I have made any errors in converting the tune from sheet music into DATA statements... please let me know. -MSW The music is stored in DATA statements at the end of the program. The DATA follows the following format: firstly: DATA title(string),author(string),tempo(float) then: DATA note(string),dur(int),note(string),dur(int),etc. The lowest note is "F 1" and the highest is "B 4". Middle C is "C 4". Notes follow the order C,D,E,F,G,A,B etc. Use # symbol to define sharp notes, i.e. "F#1", "G#2" etc. The program makes use of the fact that the command: BEEP , gives a frequency approximately equal to 11447/(10.6+) hz and a duration of *72/1000000 seconds ARCHIVE CONTENTS FIGHTSONG_bas - A program that BEEPs the "QL Fight Song" FIGHTSONG_readme - this file FEATURES * FREEWARE CONTACT post: MARK J SWIFT e-mail: msw@blackpool.ac.uk 175 CHURCH STREET BLACKPOOL LANCS FY1 3NX
